We automate quality assurance in the automotive industry

The IUNA AutoScanner can be used flexible in the quality assurance of automotive manufacturing processes.

With the help of high-resolution cameras, deep-learning-based AI models and continuous tracking of the vehicle position, surface defects of different types can be classified and localized fully automatically. The measurement results are displayed in real time in the IUNA user interface. The software also includes a database function and tools for visualizing statistics. This allows the current and past quality level to be tracked optimally.

How it works

Measurement start

In the first step, the vehicle number is read from the vehicle card (bar code). Subsequently, the vehicle model and the paint color are recognized.

Measuring process

Depending on the paint color and vehicle model, the parameters of the cameras in the light tunnel are adjusted. The AI Station receives the data from the cameras and processes it in real time. During the measurement, the vehicle position is permanently tracked. The system can thus start, stop and pause the measurement fully automatically. Once the measurement is complete, the measurement results are sent to the IUNA AI Box via Wifi.

Measurement results and rework

The IUNA AI Box uploads the evaluated images to a database. The defects and their exact positions on the vehicle are then displayed on a large screen. This provides the respective technical department all necessary information for rework and also  statistics on the current quality level of the vehicles.

User Interface

Our self-developed user interface offers a maximum of flexibility in addition to extensive statistics, database and control chart functions. We are able to adapt the user interface to your individual needs within a very short time. Integration of existing databases is also possible.
